A consultation appointment comes before anything and it must be in person not over the phone.

At your consultation we’ll discuss the before and after care steps to ensure your tattoo removal journey goes smoothly.

I’ll evaluate whether your tattoo is suitable for removal and outline the expected process. Unfortunately I cant treat anyone who is pregnant or breastfeeding or suffers with keloid scarring and I cant laser broken skin which includes areas suffering with eczema or psoriasis.

Your consultation will include a patch test.

If you have only just had your tattoo and decided it was a bad idea or not done up to your standard still please call!  Same day if need be, Its just a waiting game and we can always have a chat in the shop.

Important Notes:

Please arrive without a tan (real or fake) for your consultation and your appointment. Tanned skin can affect the treatment’s effectiveness.

Numb up if you need to! Just follow all the directions

Patch Test

(Refundable at your First Session)

Before starting your laser tattoo removal treatment, all new clients are required to complete a skin patch test at least 48 hours prior to their first session.

This test ensures that the laser energy is optimally absorbed, allowing the pigment to break down efficiently and enhancing the overall results.

The patch test shows how your tattoo pigment reacts to the laser, helping the specialist determine the number of sessions needed to reach your desired outcome.

Those “stains” and “shadows” you hear about are called hyperpigmentation and hypopigmentation.

Hyperpigmentation is the darkening of the skin, can sometimes happen after laser tattoo removal, especially in people with darker skin tones. This occurs because the laser not only targets the tattoo ink but can also impact the melanin, the pigment responsible for skin colour, resulting in a darker patch in the treated area. While this condition is usually temporary and tends to fade over time, it can linger for some individuals.

Hypopigmentation refers to the lightening of skin, can be an unintended consequence of laser tattoo removal. This happens when the laser not only targets the tattoo ink but also affects nearby pigment cells, leading to lighter areas on the skin. Although this condition is usually temporary, it can occasionally last for months or even years, and in rare instances, it may become a permanent change.

By evaluating your skin’s healing response to the laser, we can significantly reduce the chances of complications such as scarring or changes in pigmentation.

The cost of the patch test is refundable during your first session of laser tattoo removal. Duration: 30 minutes £35

Traumatic tattoos typically result from incidents like road accidents, explosions, or even minor injuries from pencil punctures, where foreign materials penetrate the skin. Additionally, individuals in certain occupations may develop traumatic tattoos due to exposure to metal shavings or other particulates during their work.

These embedded particles can create lasting marks that resemble traditional tattoos, which may be aesthetically unpleasing to its owner or uncomfortable.

Laser treatment is definitely a viable option for removing traumatic tattoos.

During radiotherapy planning sessions, radiographers may apply a few tiny, permanent tattoo marks on your skin typically between 1 and 5. These little marks are important because they help ensure that the radiotherapy machine is lined up correctly for each treatment, allowing for consistent and effective care every time.

Small marks left by radiation tattoos can symbolise your courage throughout this journey, and I understand they may bring up mixed emotions. If you’d prefer to have them removed, I’m with you all the way.

Radiation tattoo removal is often just as easy, if not easier, than removing traditional tattoos. Since these marks are small and closer to the surface of your skin most people find that just one to two treatments are enough to achieve the desired results!
